The life of a working dog and the famous Alaskan Iditarod race is highlighted by this story of the relationship of a dog and his human as they prepare to run the 1100 mile race. Wonderful illustrations bring the story to life and "boxes" add race facts. Elementary boys and girls will all enjoy this story of Crimp and Mom Liz for a long time.

From these pages pours inspiration to overcome anything. Crimp's story inspires courage and self assurance. Children and adults alike will be moved to feel they can overcome any adversity life throws their way. Through Crimp's eyes the reader sees not only the dog's determination to overcome life's hardships, but Liz's might as well. The strength they give one another is a lesson for all of us. The book expresses beautifully the devotion and love between Crimp and Liz, teaching children to never give up, and that love exists in the most amazing places.

A great story about an Alaskan husky overcoming odds to run in the Iditarod Sled Dog race. Informative introduction to this famous race that takes place every year from Willow to Nome Alaska,a distance of 1,100 miles. So much is included about the dogs and how they are raised from puppies to be sled dogs. This amazing race has always fascinated me. Interesting read for any one of any age.

This wonderful little book really captures the essence of an amazing spirit. I've known Crimp since he was a puppy, and have watched him grow up and mature into the amazing leader, sled dog, and soul that he is. Crimp is truly one of a kind! I'm thrilled this book will allow everyone to get to know him and learn from him.
Jane Smith, Past President, Sierra Nevada Dog Drivers
The authors, Liz Parrish and Jan Kelley of Crimp! On-By!! amazingly tell about the Iditarod as well as share an inspiring story of one of its Alaskan husky. This book is full of lovely illustrations to help the reader grasp a better understanding of all the effort and energy that goes into the Iditarod. A compelling story that informs the reader of one of America's most exciting and challenging races. It will instill a greater awareness and respect for those with passion to succeed.

Crimp may have had a handicap, but he didn't know it and beat all odds to race at the Iditarod. This is a beautiful story of an amazing dog whose "can do" spirit inspires us all to do our very best under difficult circumstances.
Jackie Graham, author, Running Y Readers and Writers Group
It's great that Crimp the snow dog got hit by a snow mobile and kept on running after a little while. He loves Liz a lot.
